Standard nightly rates (in NZ dollars)

• $360 per night for 2 guests

• $50 per night for each additional guest

10% discount for stays longer than a week.

Check-in 3pm, plus free transport from the ferry or flight depot to the house on arrival

Transfers 

Bookings include 1 free transfer per stay at either the start or end of your trip. 

Check-in/out:

Check-in time is 3pm. 

Our check out time is 10am.

The local DOC office has lockers to store luggage if you require.

Deposit and Cancellations

A deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking. The remaining payment is due two weeks prior to arrival. 

100% refund on bookings cancelled more than 14 days before arrival.

50% refund if cancelled within 14 days of arrival. 

International money transfer fees 

Additional fees may apply for payments made via PayPal or Wises.

House rules

Absolutely no parties or pets

As a condition of our insurance, the fire cannot be used by guests.

Ammenities

Heating

There is a floor mount heat pump in the lounge – we find setting this to heat (sun symbol) and adjusting the temperature to 21-23 degrees will heat the house. Additional blankets and an oil heater is available if needed for extra warmth.

Washing

There is a washing machine for guests as well as clothes line and wire rack to dry clothes. 

Kitchen

The kitchen is well stocked for self catering including pots, pans, utensils, cuttlery, cups, glasses, plates, bowls etc. 

Tea, ground coffee and milk is provided. There are usually items such as flour, oil, salt, pepper etc left in the cupboards from past guests which are free to use.

There is a dishwasher.

(Lack) of TV and WiFi

We have opted to go screen free and don’t have a TV or any WIFI in the house. Cell phone reception is good. We highly recommend the local pub if you need to watch the rugby etc (and the quiz on a Sunday night is good fun). 

Equipment

Bikes: There are three bikes and helmets for guests to use, though they are sometimes in need of a tidy up i.e. the wheels pumped up or chain oiled. e-bikes can be hired from town if needed.

Books and games: There are some kids toys, books, a few board games guests.
